Congratulations to Chris Mock for being named Teacher of the Year! He has been a valuable asset to the Westmont community for the past 6 years, teaching APUSH, American Government, Economics, U.S. History, AP Government, and even World History. His role as Tech Teacher at Westmont has been invaluable, especially with the new online learning system that we are adapting to as a result of the ongoing pandemic. As a Westmont teacher, he always takes the time to check in with his students, helping them to achieve success. “As much as I read about current events, history, etc. I learn from my students on a daily basis, and it makes me happy when I do.” When asked about the most important advice he has to impart to students, Mr. Mock shares, “The thing a lot of high school students don’t realize until much later in life is that eventually the grades don’t matter, it is the skills and knowledge you learn and the relationships you build that truly matter.” Thank you for all your incredible contributions to Westmont!
